This Child Sponsorship Fund at Dougy Center was set up with $110,000 from the proceeds of the first Dougy Center Porsche Boxster raffle in 1998.
Howard Freedman won the Boxster through a raffle in Pebble Beach, California. It was the first year that Porsche sold the Boxster and Howard decided to donate the car to Dougy Center to create a legacy in memory of his brother and sister-in-law, Earle and Eva. The family continues to stay involved with Dougy Center and the fund has grown through family contributions and investments to over $230,000.
The fund now sponsors over five children each year in a Dougy Center peer grief support group.
Thank you to the Freedman Family!
