When Erik Lawrence was very young, his mom died from breast cancer. Erik never had a chance to say goodbye, nor did he have a way to deal with his overwhelming grief. In memory of his mom, Erik created the Jeanne Wesley-Lawrence Child Sponsorship Fund in 2009 to help other grieving kids find hope and healing at Dougy Center. Funded primarily through his participation in triathlons, Erik raised money with every step, stroke and pedal.
