The Volunteer Facilitator Endowment Fund was established by Wayne Forsgren, Dougy Center volunteer for more than 25 years, and his wife, Loyce. Wayne and Loyce wanted to ensure that the Volunteer Facilitator program at Dougy Center remains supported and strong for the future. With a $40,000 contribution to seed (start-up) the fund, they established the Volunteer Facilitator Endowment Fund.
The purpose of the fund is to provide for the costs of the Volunteer Program in perpetuity. Dougy Center can earn approximately 4% annually on contributions given to endowed funds. When this fund reaches a total of $200,000, the annual costs associated with Dougy Center’s volunteer program will be self-sustaining.
